Ford is giving its popular Maverick compact truck some serious muscle, borrowing parts from the Mustang lineup to create a more powerful performance variant.
The standard Maverick offers respectable fuel efficiency, but many owners have long desired more horsepower under the hood. While the Lobo edition from last year didn’t deliver on that promise, Ford has now confirmed a coming performance kit for select trims.
More Power Under the Hood
The upcoming 300T model features a significant engine upgrade, incorporating parts from the Mustang’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost. This enhancement includes a larger 59mm compressor wheel compared to the standard 53mm wheel, plus a significantly upgraded Mishimoto intercooler measuring 58.8% larger than the factory unit.
Ford engineers estimate these modifications will push the truck’s output to approximately 300 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque – a substantial improvement over the standard Maverick’s output of 238 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque.

Visually, the 300T stands out with 20-inch alloy wheels borrowed from the electric Mustang Mach-E GT. These wheels come fitted with Pirelli P Zero Elect tires, enhancing both performance and aesthetics.

A prototype of the 300T will be showcased at the Ford Performance Parts booth at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The kit is expected to be available as a performance upgrade in 2026.
