Get ready, gearheads and movie buffs! Later this month, Bonhams is hosting a unique online auction featuring 50 original vehicles that graced the silver screen alongside 19 pieces of captivating film memorabilia. These treasures are all coming straight from the Movie Cars Central Museum outside Paris, ensuring authenticity for any serious collector.
The diverse collection spans decades of cinematic history, showcasing cars from beloved classics like Fast & Furious, Taxi, Jurassic Park, Drive, Men in Black, Back to the Future, and Ghostbusters, as well as The Dukes of Hazzard. You’ll also find faithful replicas inspired by popular franchises like The A-Team, Herbie, Batman, and even James Bond.
One true star is guaranteed to draw attention: the original Peugeot 406 V6 from Taxi 2 (1999). This French cinematic icon will be on display at the Salon Époqu’Auto in Lyon, France, from November 7–9 before hitting the auction block. Experts estimate its value between €70,000 and €120,000 ($75,000 to $130,000).
The auction caters specifically to collectors and pop culture enthusiasts worldwide. According to Bonhams specialist Loïc Maschi, “Many of these vehicles are authentic witnesses to both film and automotive history.”
Franck Galiègue, the curator behind the Movie Cars Central Museum, sees this as a bittersweet farewell to his long-held collection: “I’ve spent many years collecting these cars. Now it’s time to pass them on to new owners.”
Fast & Furious Favorites and Other Highlights
Several vehicles from the adrenaline-pumping Fast & Furious franchise are set to be auctioned, including a 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII from 2 Fast 2 Furious (estimated at $290,000 to $578,000) and a heavily modified 1970 Dodge Charger ‘Off-Road’ featured in Fast & Furious 7 (estimated at $174,000 to $289,000).
The auction also boasts other iconic rides like the 1968 Dodge Charger ‘General Lee’ from The Dukes of Hazzard (estimated at $139,000 to $185,000) and a sleek 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 from John Wick (estimated at $98,000 to $162,000).
And of course, no movie car auction would be complete without some international flair. Alongside the Peugeot 406 V6 from Taxi 2, there’s a replica 2006 Peugeot 407 V6 used in Taxi 5 and ready for bidding (estimated at $18,500 to $41,000).
Rounding out the impressive lineup are vehicles like the Gene Winfield Police Cruiser from Back to the Future Part II ($81,000 to $115,000), a Cagiva 600 Canyon motorcycle that appeared in Jurassic Park: The Lost World ($20,000 to $23,000), and a 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria from Men in Black ($20,000 to $39,000).
Recreations of classic movie cars — like those iconic BMWs from James Bond films, the GMC Vandura van from The A-Team, and the Volkswagen Beetle ‘Herbie’—complete this incredible journey through cinematic history.
More Than Just Cars: Memorable Memorabilia
Adding to the allure are intriguing pieces of film memorabilia. Among them is a life-size T. rex skeleton from Jurassic Park (estimated at $40,000 to $69,000) and Marty McFly’s iconic ‘Pitbull’ hoverboard from Back to the Future II ($1,735 to $2,550).
The full collection will be open for public viewing by appointment from November 21 to 28, 2025. For fans seeking a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own a piece of cinematic history, this Bonhams auction promises an unforgettable experience.
