Xpeng’s Australian distributor, TrueEV, is running a limited-time Cyber Weekend promotion on the G6 electric SUV, slashing prices through cashback or zero-interest finance. The offer runs from November 27 to December 1, 2025, and requires order placement, finance application submission, and vehicle delivery by December 31, 2025.
Key Offer Details
The promotion includes two primary incentives:
- Zero-Percent Finance: Customers can finance the G6 at 0% p.a. comparison rate with no deposit over 24 months.
- $5,000 Cashback: Alternatively, buyers can opt for a direct $5,000 discount on the vehicle’s price.
- Five Years Free Servicing: Regardless of the chosen incentive, all G6 orders during the Cyber Weekend receive complimentary servicing for five years.
- Extended Warranty: An optional 10-year vehicle and battery warranty is available for an additional $880.
This offer represents an improvement over TrueEV’s previous G6 deal, which featured 2.88% fixed-rate finance or $3,000 cashback alongside the free servicing.
G6 Specifications and Test Drives
The Xpeng G6 is a rear-wheel-drive mid-size electric SUV, available in two variants:
- Standard Range: 190kW power, 66kWh battery, 435km WLTP range.
- Long Range: 210kW power, 87.5kWh battery, 570km WLTP range.
Both variants support DC fast charging up to 215kW (Standard Range) or 280kW (Long Range), with a claimed 10-80% charge time of around 20 minutes.
Xpeng is also offering five-day extended test drives at 18 locations across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, and Tasmania, with eight more sites planned for expansion.
Xpeng’s Market Position and Expansion
Founded in 2014, Xpeng is a Chinese EV manufacturer rapidly expanding internationally. The G6 is currently the brand’s only model in Australia, positioning it as a competitive option between budget-focused Chinese newcomers and established rivals like the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5. An updated version of the G6, featuring increased power and styling tweaks, has already been approved for Australian sales.
Despite growing EV options, electric vehicles still hold a relatively small share of the Australian new car market. Chinese brands like Xpeng are aggressively competing on price and value to gain market share, but TrueEV does not publicly report sales figures through VFACTS, making it difficult to assess the G6’s actual sales performance.
The aggressive pricing strategy underscores the competitive landscape in Australia’s EV market, where brands are actively vying for consumer attention. The move aims to position Xpeng as a viable alternative to established players while capitalizing on growing demand for affordable electric vehicles.
