The 2027 GT3 S/C Eats Its Own Redline

The soft top is back. Not as a gimmick. It is the GT3. Again. Porsche calls this one the GT3 S/C for 2027 and honestly the naming makes sense. It pairs that 9000 RPM flat-six with a power-folding roof from the Carrera Cabrio.

You cannot get an automatic.

The stick shift is the only way to drive it. That feels right. The car comes heavy on the standard lightweight bits too. Stripped down. Focused. If you think you can hide what you are doing behind closed windows you would be wrong. There is a new Street Style package just in case you need a plaid leather interior to match the noise.

The tachometer ends at 9,000 RPM.

Use all of it. You need the revs to find the thrust. Porsche even gives you a setting to place that 9,000 mark at the very top of the gauge. It screams.

The tach goes to 9000, and you use all of it to find the thrust

Do you really need the wind in your hair while you shred tires? Probably not. But the S/C asks the question anyway. And leaves the top down as the answer.
