Xiaomi’s Giant N90 Swivels Seats To Build An Interior You Can Actually Live In

14

We knew this was coming. Over 18 months of rumors pointed to Xiaomi building a full-size SUV, the crown jewel of their auto lineup. Now the veil lifts. It has a new name, the N90. And a very specific purpose: an apartment on wheels 🚐

New filings from China’s Ministry of Industry and Info Tech leaked the details. There is a standard trim, yes, but also a dedicated camping variant.

Sky Nomad Or Just A Box?

The branding calls this the start of the Sky Nomad series. We’re not sold on the name, honestly, but you can’t deny the shape. It looks nothing like the SU7 sedan or the YU7 SUV we know them for. It is boxy. Radical, almost. And critically, it isn’t a pure EV. It is a range-extender, a first for Xiaomi cars.

The stats are big. Big.

  • Length: 5,285mm
  • Width: 1,998mm
  • Height: 1,825mm
  • Wheelbase: 3,080mm

That wheelbase puts it in the ring with the Li Auto 9 and Auto M9. The camping version grows another 10cm taller to hide a retractable roof, making room for a sleeping platform above. Photos show no design links to current models. Just a tall box with LiDAR on top 📡

A Meeting Room On Four Tires

Inside, the gimmick is the real story. The front seats spin. 180 degrees. To face the back.

A table drops down between them. Suddenly you aren’t in a car. You’re in a meeting room, or maybe a living room. It flips the hierarchy of the passenger cabin on its head. Behind the pivot points, the second and third rows fold flat. Generous enough for a proper bed.

The rest feels expensive, though. GIFs show leather, plush materials, the inevitable giant infotainment screen. Buyers pick five or seven seats. Zero-gravity chairs are standard in row two, and there is a movable screen mounted on the ceiling.

Why drive when you can rotate your view?
